Hudson supports Global Retailer’s Change Campaign with over 30 Placements

The Challenge

A major global retailer with a strong and rapidly expanding British presence engaged with Hudson IT to assist with a large and highly important recruitment requirement. The client needed to facilitate a major and critical change within the business for continued success and growth.

Our Solution

The Hudson IT consultant met with the client to comprehensively understand what was required, not only in terms of skills and experience but the culture and dynamics of the company, the history leading to the recruitment need and the client’s business plans going forward. Once these crucial criteria were established, it was then possible to prepare a tailored solution. Following the meeting, during which the consultant fully explained the methodologies that would be adopted, the client had total confidence that Hudson IT could deliver across the wide variety of requirements.

The specific services that Hudson IT provided in order to achieve an optimum result included an extensive search and undertaking first round face-to-face interviews; subsequently being able to provide the client with thorough, in-depth interview notes with each candidate’s CV and a detailed coversheet. This was no mean feat – Hudson IT engaged with well over 1,000 applicants, conducted over 300 first round interviews and produced a short list of high calibre candidates for each requirement.

The Results

The highly successful outcome saw Hudson making over 30 placements – mainly in IT, thus fulfilling the client’s expectations and further impressing by managing to fill some extremely difficult requirements on time and on budget. The client confirmed that Hudson IT stood out by having engaged closely with the business to gain a full understanding of what was required both from a cultural and technical perspective and kept in regular contact to ensure applicants were relevant; this was important given the evolving needs of the client over the course of the project.
