Is the Glass Ceiling a real opportunity or still a barrier?

What does Britain's vote to leave the EU mean for businesses and HR?
As the 7th female CEO is appointed to a top British company, alongside only our 2nd female prime minister, how do we build on this and what are the specific challenges around pay equality and leadership development.
Join Hudson for an interactive breakfast session, to hear Dr Tim Sparkes, business psychologist for Hudson Talent Management, examine the implications for business leaders and the attributes needed for success. What are the differences between male and female leadership, the attributes of female leaders and how do they relate to the new world of work.

Addressing the Gender Pay Gap

Soon all businesses with over 250 employees will have to publicly report on average pay differences between their male and female employees. The first reporting period will be April 2017. The aim of this legislation is to encourage employers to identify the gender pay gap within its organisation and take steps to reduce it.
  1. Irwin Mitchell LLP will discuss what this means for employers and will examine:
  2. The difference between ‘gender pay gap’ and ‘equal pay’
  3. The new reporting requirements and the timescales involved
  4. What information is required and how to prepare
  5. Will staff be able to take action against you if your report demonstrates a gender pay gap within your business
  6. Sanctions and penalties
  7. How to demonstrate your commitment to workplace equality.
