Scotland Autumn Employment Law update

Sheherd and Wedderburn

Join Hudson this October, at our Employment Law update seminars hosted in partnership with Shepherd and Wedderburn. Both events are in high demand with limited spaces available.

Neil MacLean and Joanna Boag-Thomson will be providing a key update as the General Data Protection Regulation comes into force in the UK on 25 May 2018. Businesses, by now should be considering what they must do to ensure compliance with the new rules. With employers gathering large amounts of employee data, this topic is of particular concern to HR professionals.

In addition to this specific topic, we will also be looking at more general employment law updates, including:

  • The outcome of the Taylor Review and what is likely to come next for employment status;
  • A focus on gender, looking at recent developments regarding shared parental leave, gender pay gap reporting, and women on boards
  • An update on Brexit as it relates to employment law.
