Long Term, Multiple Role Recruitment Contract with the NHS Information Centre

The Client

The NHS Information Centre (NHS IC) is England's central, authoritative source of health and social care information. The NHS IC work with customers and suppliers to provide information that supports decision making, and the development of products to widen patient choice and improve infrastructure.

Information and data provided by the Information Centre supports policy, service planning, commissioning and performance management decisions across the NHS network.

Hudson understands that it is the NHS IC’s objective to develop a culture of information across health and social care that influences policy development and research. In addition, the NHS IC seeks to promote effective access to information by decision makers and foster a dynamic and customer-focused approach which produces information of integrity.

300 NEW STAFF MEMBERS TO BE RECRUITED TO THE IC OVER A 3 YEAR PERIOD

The IC’s objective was to recruit 300 new members of staff in to the Leeds headquarter office over a three year period. Hudson was awarded the contract after successfully competing with nine additional supplier bids.

Hudson recruited an account manager and small team to engage with the organisation and develop a deep understanding of the IC’s requirements, recruitment processes and in-house procedures. Together, the Hudson team and IC agreed a robust recruitment process and guidelines that both parties would follow. This process was then reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that the requirements of the service level agreement were adhered to.

HUDSON HAS RECRUITED MULTIPLE ROLES FOR THE NHSIC

The roles that Hudson have been awarded vary according to department and level. Such roles include business support officers, business analysts, information analysts, project managers, programme managers, section heads, and departmental directors. In addition to these, Hudson was also required to source experienced professionals in specialist areas that included clinical coders, senior developers and HR management positions.

HUDSON SAVED RECRUITING MANAGERS VALUABLE TIME

By initially meeting with the recruiting managers and agreeing a transparent and robust recruitment process on their behalf, Hudson were able to save the recruiting managers valuable time.

The recruitment plan spanned the entire recruitment process, from online advertising, to providing a full evaluation of all submitted applications, the organisation and implementation of numerical reasoning and Government statistical tests when required and the arrangement of interviews.

Inclusion on all interview panels meant that Hudson were able to add further value by providing advice and guidance throughout the interview process whilst also ensuring that the correct recruitment practices were adhered to.

Testimonial

"Hudson provided a dedicated team who worked in partnership with our HR department to ensure that the administrative support was provided in line with the NHS IC’s recruitment policy.

Their support was invaluable and the consultants worked as an extension of our HR team to ensure that we delivered a professional service to both our internal and external customers.  We would recommend other organisations to consider using Hudson in a similar capacity."
